How to Apply for Raith Vidyanidhi Scholarship 2025–26

The Raith Vidyanidhi Scholarship is a special education assistance program introduced by the Government of Karnataka to support the children of farmers. The scholarship aims to encourage higher education among students from agricultural families who often face financial difficulties. This initiative offers yearly financial aid to students after Class 10, helping them continue their studies without dropping out due to economic barriers. The scheme covers students pursuing PUC, undergraduate degrees, professional courses, and vocational studies. For the academic year 2025–26, students can apply online through the official state scholarship portal, known as SSP (State Scholarship Portal).

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Raith Vidyanidhi Scholarship, the student must be a resident of Karnataka. One of the most essential criteria is that the student’s parents must be registered as farmers in Karnataka. Their agricultural land details must be recorded in the government’s land database (usually linked with FRUITS ID or Aadhaar). Only students who have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination are eligible. Another important feature of this scheme is that it allows students to receive benefits even if they are already receiving another scholarship from the government.

How to Apply Online (Step-by-Step)

Students must submit their application through the SSP Post-Matric Scholarship Portal. The application process is simple and entirely online.

  1. First, the student has to visit the official website of the Karnataka SSP Post-Matric Scholarship Portal.
  2. If the student is applying for the first time, they must create a new account by entering their basic details like Aadhaar number, mobile number, and academic information.
  3. After registration, the student should log in to their account using their user ID and password.
  4. Next, they must choose the appropriate scholarship category and fill out the application form. There is no separate form exclusively for Raith Vidyanidhi. Instead, by providing valid farmer/land details, the system automatically considers the student for the scheme.
  5. Students should make sure that their Aadhaar and bank account are linked to receive the scholarship amount through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
  6. Finally, they must upload the required documents and submit their application before the deadline.

Documents Required

Applicants generally need Aadhaar cards of both the student and the parent, FRUITS ID or other documents proving farmer status, the student’s academic records, caste certificate (if applicable), and a bank passbook with an Aadhaar-linked account.

Benefits

The scholarship amount ranges approximately between ₹2,500 and ₹11,000 per year depending on the student’s course and gender. This financial support allows students to continue their education without worrying about fees or other basic expenses.
